About Muses
In the beginning, in ancient Greece, there were three. Later, their number grew to nine. The Muses are the guardians and champions of art and science and, equally important, they inspire those who create and those who find joy in what has been created.
That story from the dawn of Western civilisation lives on today through Muze, based in Zagreb. By awakening and enriching the experience of cultural and natural heritage, they help places shine in their full glory, transforming them into accomplished storytellers and spaces of beauty, creativity, joy and knowledge. Today, after more than twenty years of work, that inspiration has reached hundreds of thousands of visitors to those places from every corner of the world.
The first specialised boutique consultancy for project management in culture and tourism in Croatia was founded in 2005 by Dragana Lucija Ratković Aydemir with a clear vision: to pioneer an approach to a field that in Croatia had neither an established name nor a settled practice, built on the thoughtful integration of heritage interpretation, spatial experience and narrative design that transforms the visitor from observer into participant.
At the heart of every project Muze signs is a team. It brings together a carefully assembled group of experts, scholars and creatives drawn from different disciplines, generations and locations, united around a specific challenge and a shared goal. Museologists, art historians, ethnologists, architects, designers, writers, heritage interpreters, tourism and digital media specialists: every project receives precisely the team it requires.
More than twenty years of work speak for themselves: collaborations with national and nature parks, city and specialist museums, local communities and ecomuseums, tourist destinations and cultural institutions across Croatia and beyond. Every project is a singular undertaking, demanding a methodology tailored to a specific place, community, heritage and audience.
Reputation is built on consistency. The same standard of quality, the same core values and the same passion for the work have been present from the very first project to this day. Clients who entrust one project return with the next. That trust, built over years, is Muze’s most valued asset.
